We have been extremely happy with our decision to switch our credit card processing to Leaders.  Our Account Executive made the process as simple as possible and has always been there to help or direct us to get answers to any questions we have.  He always goes above and beyond to help. We were extremely hesitant to change our processing company however it has turned out to be a great fit.

Leaders Merchant Services has many fees they did not disclose to me. I was told there would be a monthly fee of 7.95 as well as a set percentage fee for each sale. The fees varied depending on whether it was a Visa or Discover or American Express and whether it was swiped or keyed in. The fees were not supposed to be over 4%. Wasn’t I surprised when they took over 50% on my first statement! They neglected to tell me they had a monthly minimum fee. Since my first and only sale that month was just $65 it did not meet their minimum and I was charged over $21 penalty as well as other fees, which amounted to over $36. In addition, the service never did work with my Boost mobile phone, even though it is a Samsung Galaxy III. They were told up front my phone and assured me it would work. As a result, I never could swipe and always had to manually input the card numbers, which resulted in even more fees. Small businesses be ware. Find out all the hidden fees before you get robbed like I did.

This company not only said “no monthly fees” on the phone AND in the contract, they then CHANGED the agreement after it was signed and started charging fees! When told of this, they said “we will change it” and never did. $65-80 PER MONTH even with no transactions! $350 to cancel.

Square on the other hand is 3.75% manually entered or 2.75% swiped. So much simpler and cost effective. The 2% leaders quoted was true, but the lies about no monthly fees were not.
